Gayatri Mahamantra listen is an important mantra of the Vedas , whose importance is almost equal to Om. It is composed of Yajurveda ‘s mantra ‘ Om Bhurbhuvah Swah ‘ and Rigveda ‘s verse. Savitri Dev is worshiped in this mantra, hence it is also called Savitri . It is believed that reciting this mantra and understanding it leads to the attainment of God. गायत्री महामंत्र सुनिए वेदों का एक महत्वपूर्ण मंत्र है, जिसका महत्व लगभग ॐ के बराबर है। यह यजुर्वेद के मंत्र ‘ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः’ तथा ऋग्वेद के श्लोक से बना है। इस मंत्र में सावित्री देव की पूजा की जाती है, इसलिए इसे सावित्री भी कहा जाता है। मान्यता है कि इस मंत्र का जाप करने और इसे समझने से ईश्वर की प्राप्ति होती है। इसे श्री गायत्री देवी के स्त्री रूप में भी पूजा जाता है
